A little new year sketch: random bytes scraped from images on my computer.
Some progress, trying to caption images using sentences from novels. This first step is working ok, next will be to train a neural-network to do this automatically from my captioned set, then output new captions algorithmically.

Spent the better part of the afternoon coding a crosshatch algorithm in Processing. The image above doesn’t do it too much justice, so click for a full-resolution version. Source code on Github.
An experiment using a system similar to Markov chains, where each pixel value of an image is recorded along with the values of it’s neighbors. A new image is built starting from a random seed > random neighbor > new seed > etc.
