Slit Mirror (seeing the river through a chainlink fence)
2006
48 x 48" (122 x 122 cm)
Mirrored mylar, aluminum pushpins

A large piece of mirrored mylar with a series of vertical slits cut in it, one inch apart. The experiential kernal of this piece was walking across a bridge over the Raritan River in New Brunswick, NJ, seeing the view of the river below as both fractured and whole at the same time.
